Apple har valt att inte fortsätta tillverka HomePod som företaget lanserade för ungefär fyra år sedan.
HomePod som visades upp den 5 januari 2017 verkar inte ha blivit den succé som Apple hade hoppats på. Till sidan TechCrunch har Apple berättat att de inte längre kommer att tillverka högtalaren utan kommer lägga fokus på HomePod Mini. Den kommer fortsatt att gå att köpa i Apple Stores där HomePod är tillgänglig men bara tills lagret tar slut.
"HomePod mini has been a hit since its debut last fall, offering customers amazing sound, an intelligent assistant, and smart home control all for just $99. We are focusing our efforts on HomePod mini. We are discontinuing the original HomePod, it will continue to be available while supplies last through the Apple Online Store, Apple Retail Stores, and Apple Authorized Resellers. Apple will provide HomePod customers with software updates and service and support through Apple Care."
HomePod lanserades aldrig officiellt här i Sverige och frågan är om Apples fokus på HomePod Mini betyder att den officiellt kommer komma till Sverige snart.
