Just thought you might want a heads-up on the Powercord thing as you mentioned in the article.
That plug is commonly called a "C19" socket/plug. Whatever's on the other end is what plugs into your wall socket (NEMA 5-15P in North America).
You don't see these cords because typically they aren't required on Desktop computers- because of the current (amperes) that a *standard* Powersource draws.
The C19 plug and its associated standards allow for up to and above 16 Amps of current at 120v, around ~10 Amps for 220v/240v. Typical power cords from any other computer are usually good up to 10A/120v, ~6A/220V.
I see these on telecom equipment all the time, they are typically used in Servers that require the extra oomph from your wall plug (or power plug).
The G5 Dual/Quad probably has a larger startup current from cold boot, so Apple had to beef the Power cord up, and to stay within Spec', they had to swap to a C19 plug as well.
