Tycker inte datorn känns speciellt seg även om det ibland hackar med .mkv-filer (720p) i VLC.

Därför att innan hade du 2st 256-kretsar och då kunde datorn använda interleave vilket snabbar upp minnesinstruktioner. Stoppa i en 1GB-krets till så du har 2GB så kommer du se att värdena går upp igen. Det finns ju en anledning till att Apple alltid levererar med 2 kretsar.

Jag tror inte det beror på dual channel minneshanteringen, eftersom jag sett samma marginella "försämring" i geekbenchs värden när jag uppgraderade från 1.5gig (1024 + 512) till 4gig (2048 + 2048).
En närmare koll visar att det verkar vara mätningarna med namn "Read Sequential" och "Write Sequential" som försämrats.

Personligen tror jag att det har att göra med hur geekbench är uppbyggt, eftersom den största delen av poäng verkar vara direktrelaterat till cpun
EDIT: Apple leverar inte alltid med 2 kretsar, nya iMac standard konfigurationen är 1*1GB.

Har precis köpt den nya MBPn så jag körde ett sista Geekbench och fick en rolig liten överaskning! Högsta resultatet av alla testade "PowerBook G4 (12-inch 1.5 GHz)" Kollade tillbaka ett år och hittade ingen med ett bättre resultat, kan detta stämma?
