Har inte läst hela denna tråd men häromdagen fanns följande på www.hardmac.com - undrar om svenska återförsäljare känner igen detta och äntligen fått vettiga marginaler:
We received many French resellers testimonies.
Here's one:
- the price I buy the PowerBook 12" TFT 1GHz combo CD-RW/DVD dropped by 290 € with two resellers : Tech Data and Ingram Micro.
- the Apple official retail price was still not adjusted by those guys and the AppleStore, thus public price is still of 1,599 € for a combo DVD/CD-RW and 1799 € for the SuperDrive. Never had such huge margins selling the Apple brand !
- the price dropped because of Apple's choice indeed....
- the two versions of the 12" TFT PowerBook are available there in huge amounts.
It is actually so unusual to have such a margin with Apple, one may really wonder why. There is one reason we see: this machine probably doesn't sell well. By raising the retailers margin, Apple probably hope they'll push it more to the consumers, so it will probably become their 'better' Apple portable product
