G-Town Church Sampling Project
Producer Tobias Marberger has made his collection of CC-licensed music samples available via BitTorrent from the Legal Torrents site. Available in two separate torrents, with either the original .WAV files with separate EXS24 soft sampler patches, or as .GIG Gigastudio-formatted versions.
The 421 MB set of audio samples includes anvil, snare, wood stick, hihat, brushplate, bongos, piano, organ, mandolin, glockenspiel, flute, and other instruments recorded in his local church in Grebbestad, Sweden. These are good quality natural sounds with an ambient decay time of around 2 seconds for percussion. Recorded with a range of dynamics the sounds are quite dramatic with a good mix of the church acoustics making them well suited to film work.
