When your system has found your mobile phone and it has been
properly paired with your PC system, a Bluetooth™ modem will have
been automatically installed.
NB: For Widcomm PC products, you may need to activate Dial-Up
networking in the product. In your PC Bluetooth™ application, select
to create or start a Dial-Up networking connection. If necessary,
search for available services first and enable the Dial-Up Networking
service.
You need to install the appropriate Sony Ericsson Bluetooth™ modem,
and this modem should use the same COM port as the already installed
Bluetooth™ modem.
To install the Sony Ericsson modem, proceed as follows:
- Start the PC "Control Panel" and double-click "Phone and Modem
Options".
- Click the "Modems" tab to view the installed modems. To continue,
there has to be a modem called "Bluetooth™ Modem" in this list.
- Make a note of the COM port that is used by the existing Bluetooth™
modem.
- Click "Add" to start a wizard assisting you to install a new
modem.
- Check "Don't detect my modem; I will select it from a list.",
and click Next to continue to the next page.
- In the Manufacturer column, mark "Sony Ericsson Mobile
Communications".
- In the Models column, mark the "Sony Ericsson XXXX Bluetooth™
Modem", where "XXXX" matches your mobile phone model.
- Click Next to continue to the next page. Choose the same COM port
as was used by the existing Bluetooth™ modem.
- Click Next to continue, ignore any warning messages appearing.
- After a short while, the wizard informs you that the modem has been
installed.
