Jag har kört Disk Utility men frågan är om den klarar att reparera min ~/Sites då jag har mina användare på en egen partition. Eller fungerar länken /Users som så att systemet reparerar rättigheterna på även den?
Jag minns inte exakt när det här problemet trädde in, men frågan är om det inte hade med att jag installerade php .
Har självklart provat ta info för Sites mappen och gett den och underliggande mappar skriv/läs-rättigheter för SAMTLIGA.... galet att det ändå inte fungerar :/
Har en index.html i min ~/Sites mapp...
Det är nog positivt att directory browsing är avslaget, men får man fråga hur man växlar på/av det?

Alltså ...
Såvitt jag kan se har du ställt in webservern på att anta att indexfilen i varje katalog skall heta index.html. Går jag direkt till webbroten på din webbserver får jag också fram Apaches sida som man får vid grundinstallation.
Om jag däremot går till din katalog, /~ivar/ , så får jag permissions denied, och det innebär att webbservern inte hittar en fil index.html samtidigt som det inte är tillåtet att lista kataloginnehåll.
Om jag däremot går till din sida index.php så får jag upp den sidan utan problem.
Ditt problem är alltså att webbservern först skall leta efter en index.html och hittar den ingen sådan skall den visa en index.php. Försöker man lista en katalog utan dessa båda sidor så får man förbjudet och gissar man på ett filnamn som inte existerar får man finns inte.
Ditt problem är alltså att visa filen index.php, och det gör du genom att ändra raden

Du bör inte tillåta att man kan lista kataloginnehåll. Förr eller senare kommer du då visa innehåll som du inte vill visa.
Om du nu mot bättre vetande ändå vill tillåta kataloglistning för användare gör du det genom att avmarkera stycket som börjar med

OBSERVERA att du bör läsa manualen först så du verkligen gör det du vill göra.

BBEdit är det bästa enkla programmet för texthantering, tycker jag.
Du kan också använda pico eller vi om du vill arbeta i terminalen, men det är lite krångligare och omacigare.

Vad som hänt är ialla fall att man tillåts browsa kataloger, vilket jag inte vill... kan man stänga av directory-browsing för huvudkatalogen(document-root) ?

Det är inte alls en dum idé, iaf om du är enda användaren på din dator. När du säger att du bundit en namnadress, menar du då alltså att du kör en namnbaserad VirtualHost som använder din Sites-katalog som DocumentRoot?
Vad som hänt är ialla fall att man tillåts browsa kataloger, vilket jag inte vill... kan man stänga av directory-browsing för huvudkatalogen(document-root) ?
Japp, går bara fint! Då kan man göra så här:
<Directory /> Options -Indexes </Directory>
Om du kör med namnbaserad VirtualHost behöver du förutom det se till att ovanstående Directory-harang skrivs in mellan starttaggen och sluttaggen för VirtualHost-direktivet.
