Problem med flera Mac/TimeMachine mot samma disk

Jag drog just iväg följande feedback till Apple-folket:

Thus, I propose modifying the instructions for setting up TM. (2) I wish that there is a control of some kind that can be used to force particular Mac/TM to reduce the size of its sparsebundle file (using the same TM lets-clear-some-space-algorithm, preferrably).

Problemet är alltså att min TimeCapsule är full, och jag kan inte ta bort gamla backup-filer eftersom TimeMachine inte har någon funktion som tillåter mig att göra det. Enda möjligheten att få ned backup-datas storlek tycks vara att kasta allt ihop. Nån som vet någon bättre lösning?

Förstår grajen och det verkar lite knepigt.

Men om man går in i Time Machine så kan man ju ta bort t.ex. den sista säkerhetskopian som jag har sett att man kan göra. Blir där inte mer plats då? Givetvis får man kanske ta bort många säkerhetskopior för att få tillräckligt med plats för en annans dator backup.

Sen håller jag med dig om att där borde finnas någon form av inställning för detta.

Jag backar upp både min och tjejens dator mot 1 TC och det fungerar bra hitills, men dem installerades samtidigt. Dock känner jag ju nu efter ditt problem, att jag själv fick ett på halsen som jag inte tänkt på innan. Antagligen kommer jag fylla TCn mer än henne och då kommer jag sitta med en större backup än vad hon gör. Gör inte så mycket om dem håller sig någorlunda lika i storlek. Bara det inte slutar med att jag sitter på 1,8 TB backup och tjejen på 200 GB.

Kommer kanske någon mjukvaru uppdatering i framtiden då.
