MacMinute skriver följande:
"Mac's user base closer to 8 percent of market share?
March 31, 2004 - 11:14 EST.. Though there are constant reports that Apple's global share for new computers (and keep the word "new" in mind) is under 2 percent, Al Fasoldt of the Syracuse Post-Standard writes that his own calculations show Macs account for 8 percent of the personal computers used in homes (leaving out all the computers used in offices and businesses)--while others put the estimate as high as 12 percent.
He says the apparent discrepancy in figures is because one is only for the number of new computers sold month by month while the other is for the total number of computers that are in use. Plus, Fasoldt says that "Macs last longer than Windows PCs and don't need replacing as often," which means that Mac users "aren't ever going to buy new computers at the same rate as Windows users." And while Apple said earlier this year that there were over 25 million Mac users, the reporter's own estimates put that number at closer to 35 million."
Jag har träffat på många människor som har Mac hemma och PC på jobbet, betydligt fler än två av hundra... Vad tror ni? Är MacMinute ute och cyklar eller ligger det något i det hela?
