I-poden har ett problem.

I I-poden finns en funktion som säger åt den att pausa ifall hörlurarna tas ut från I-podens hörlursjack.

En ipod-hörlur skiljer sig från en standardhörlur på följande sätt, "Hanen" på lurarna har en MINDRE metallring vid roten av utaget, medan standardlurarna har en större metallring.

När den större metallringen vidrör i-podens skal (metall) så tror i-poden att lurarna dragits ur och pausar därför musiken.

Du kan åtgärda det på enkla sätt. Tejp t ex. Problemet är alltså inget stort, men Apple har vetat om problemet sedan mars 2005 men har fortfarande inte gjort något åt det.

Jag som "lider" av detta skulle helt enkelt vilja kunna stänga av "pausa om lurarna dras ur"-funktionen.

Detta kommer inte att hända om inte Apple tycker att det är värt det.

Har du samma problem, eller helt enkelt tycker att någonting man betalar 3-4 tusen kronor för bör fungera med vilka hörlkurar som helst, gör bäst i att göra följande:

The third party-earphones problem...

I am sure you know of this, but Ill give the raps anyway. Third party earphones have a industry standard "male" plug.
The I-pod earphones do not.

The difference is that the third party phones have a larger metal circle at the root of the plug. When this metal circle touches the I-pods outer shell (of metal) The I-pod thinks that the earphones have been unplugged and immidietly goes into "Pause" (even with "hold" active).

It is VERY annoying.

Could you include an option in the i-pod menu that deactivates the "pause when earphones unplug"-function?

This is a common problem - it is not a malfunction of my copy of the I-pod (as noticed in the forums on this site).

My request is that you include that option in an upcoming update, and please, do it soon.
