Apple ligger i topp hos PC Magazine när det gäller tillförlitlighet och kvalité. Att du inte gillar Apple har du gjort klart för oss, men varför slösar du bort din tid här?

In the Dell community forum there's an absolute mountain of folk with problems with tft's. Dell says there are only a few and won't recognise it's a faulty part. It appears to be the invertor which goes faulty or in my case, overheats and turns the lhs of the screen dark, except when running on battery.

I've a Dell Latitude CsX laptop; it's suffering strange disease: after ~30 minutes after system boot the LCD backlight turns off without any warning. Looks like it's a hardware problem, since I've checked it with different OS's (Win 98, Win XP), different versions of video drivers and BIOS revisions.
The second strange thing: "backlight's back" after rebooting; there's no need to wait till anything get cold, but there's one condition: AC adapter _must_ be unplugged. With AC connected I could wait several hours without effect.
I suspect inverter supply board, is there any overdrive sensor?
