Om jag hittar testet så skall jag förmedla det.
Under tiden kan jag skicka ett inlägg från Beoworld forumet:
"I'd like to share my impressions of the BeoLab 5s in this thread. I now have a set of 6 (for my own proprietary surround sound format) installed in my studio (the hookup is analog right now, but I expect to have the system fully digital by mid-January). FYI, I am using Pro Tools and a Yamaha 02R digital mixing console as the source. At present, nothing is hi-res, but I've paid reasonable attention to signal integrity.
Also, FYI, I am a composer composing surround electronica and the BeoLab 5s are my new upgraded musical instrument (kind of like buying a new concert Bosendorfer).
With that background:
My impression is that the production units are BETTER than I expected them to be, and that the overall musical impact is extremely satisfying. One professional colleague commented, after listening for a couple of hours, that "The BeoLab 5 offers an entirely new set of possibilities and potentials for recorded music! Thanks." Another (a winner of multiple Grammies) said, after an extended listening session, "I really like the BeoLab 5s. No, that's not quite true - I REALLY LIKE thd BeoLab 5s A LOT!!!"
In a commentary back to B&O soon after my installation, I said (in part), "So far, I haven’t done any surround listening yet and I’m weeks away from installing the overhead one. However, I do have the instrumentation built in to make quick measurements.
"In any case, I’m about as familiar with the BL5s as anybody outside of the
factory, and so I didn’t expect many surprises. Nonetheless, I was very
curious to hear them in my room and to begin to subject them to the same
measurements and materials that I have been accustomed to working with on
the SAW prototypes, which have served me long and well.
"Impression # 1: The ABC works remarkably well! The the bass stability is remarkable. A huge relief, that will make production work much easier.
"Impression # 2: The bass extension is unprecedented, quite exciting . . . the bass sound is extremely natural, but there is simply more of it than any of us in the recording industry normally work with.
"Impression # 3: The lenses work gloriously well. Thank you. They are old
friends, for me, of course. The BeoLab 5 is a magnificent realization of
them.
"Impression # 4: The power/thermal compression dynamic capability is simply stunning, and unprecedented in my experience. I have found myself casually listening, comfortably and without fatigue or any sense of stress in the system, at levels up to an Lmax of 112 dB SPL with an Leq of over 100 dB
SPL (this at 3 m!). The ease of listening to these “real-life” levels is startling, satisfying and absolutely gratifying.
"Impression # 5: The speaker-to-speaker consistency is a major triumph! I took a difference reading of pink noise through left and right channels. The null was generally within a dB above 100 Hz. Usually, this is the kind of null I expect comparing electronics – I’ve never seen a pair of transducers, especially in different parts of a room, come close to this!
"The net result? The BeoLab 5 is a stunning achievement! Its performance
is unprecedented, it makes REALLY BEAUTIFUL MUSIC and it is going to permit me to work at a quality level I’ve not been able to approach before. All I can say is
"THANK YOU!"
Since then, I've done extensive listening in surround, and worked on a few production projects, in addition to slowly working through my CD collection once again. In production work, the BeoLab 5s are working very well, and they are just plain fun to listen to. I can't wait for the monitor upgrade and the overhead speaker installation, so I can get back to composing!
Any of you in the Northeastern US who would like to hear this sytem, feel free to send me an email. Such things can be arranged.
